A CHRISTMAS OVERTURE
This original overture tries to catch the atmosphere and mystery of the Christmas time.
The composer remembers well how it was to wake up in the middle of the night, with a very special excitement to what the Christmas would bring of surprises.

GEIR SUNDBØ
født i Porsgrunn var gjennom barne- og ungdomstiden svært aktiv både som utøver og komponist. Etter å ha fullført videregående skole (musikkteoretisk linje) gikk han et år på Berklee College of Music i Boston, USA.
Tilbake i Norge fulgte 5 år med komposisjonsstudier hos Maj og Gunnar Sønstevold. Sundbø har mottatt diverse arbeidsstipend og bestillingsverk og er medlem av Norsk Komponistforening.
Han arbeider også som dirigent for skolekorps/amatørkorps i Telemark.
GEIR SUNDBØ
born in Porsgrunn, Norway was throughout his childhood and youth years, very active in musical activities, as a performer and composer. After finishing high school with music as a major, Sundbø studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston USA for one year. Back in Norway he started a five-year-study in composition with Maj and Gunnar Sønstevold, two of Norway`s most highly regarded 20th century composers. Sundbø works as a conductor as well as a composer, and had received numerous scholarships and commissions. He is a member of the Norwegian Society of Composers.
