This pair of medium suspended cymbal mallets is designed for single notes at all dynamics, although it is also excellent for rolls. It has a heavy rubber-covered plastic core on a hickory drumstick-style handle. Because of its weight, this sticks gets the whole spectrum of overtones ringing with very little effort and velocity. The tight cloth wrap gives it excellent projection and articulation without sounding harsh in any way. These characteristics allow for dynamically appropriate notes that are still audible (think Mahler 4 and La Mer). Available on a .535" hickory handle, 13.75" long, or rattan.
