YBS-82 CUSTOM BARITONE SAXOPHONE
YBS-82 is the first Custom baritone in Yamaha’s saxophone line-up. It is the result of many years research and development together with development advisor Yasuto Tanaka, Concert Master of the Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra.
A versatile instrument it has been designed to fit a number of genres.
Available with or without high-F#.
Available in various finishes - Gold lacquer, Silver Plated, Unlacquered
In addition to the Custom baritone, we are introducing a new range of Custom baritone necks. The C1, E1 and V1 available in 6 finishes will give potential customers a wide range of possibilites.
- Lighter and more ergonomic key layout giving a great playing feeling.
- New designs have been implemented on the front F, low A, octave key, palm keys, upper and lower table keys.
- New strap-ring positioning for natural, playing comfort.
- Shorter bell design giving a consistent sound in all registers.
- Peg included.
Available Necks: (C1 or V1 is included.)
V1
V1 features clear and rich sound and wide dynamic range. It is suitable for advanced players because of its high degree of freedom and wide range of expression.
E1
The Custom E1 neck has a more gradual bore taper which offers excellent control of the air flow for a quick response and superb intonation. This versatile neck also features increased flexibility for the player who wants a bit more freedom to find their sound.
C1
The Custom C1 neck has the smallest bore taper of all Yamaha Custom saxophone necks. This particular bore design provides the player with the greatest possible control for a quick response, excellent intonation and a focused tone.
