    Meet POWERSTOPF
Stopping, known as stopfen, is employed by many Classical and modern composers. Usually, stopping is accomplished with the hand. But this is not always a simple matter, especially in forte passages or in the low register. 'Horns too late!' is an often heard comment from conductors, so producing a precise and direct stopped sound is required, as well as good intonation.

The Powerstopf is the stopping mute that gives the horn player the means he or she needs to stop easily and in tune. The combination of aluminum and oak results in a direct sound that is identical to the tone color of actual hand stopping.

    Key Features

    PERFECT INTONATION
By stopping the horn bell with the hand or a stopping mute the tone rises a half tone, but often these notes are out of tune (sharp). Correcting this problem requires embouchure adjustments that can threaten security. The Powerstopf provides you with secure intonation.

    REPRODUCES HAND STOPPING SOUND
Working with a stopping mute often results in a brassy tone. The combination of aluminum for direct sound, and an oak “bell” for general color, brings both aspects to a hand stopped-like sound.

    BALANCED RESISTANCE
Resistance is a feature well known by horn players. Hand stopping increases resistance, and sometimes influences the pitch and self-confidence, as well. The Powerstopf is well balanced in all registers.

    COMFORTABLE GRIP
The Powerstopf is designed to handle easily and make for quick changes to open playing.
