Agathe Backer Grøndahl is primarily known as an accomplished Norwegian pianist, but her brilliant compositions have received little attention to date. The Fantasy Pieces, Op. 39, contain some of her most successful piano works, which captivate with their original and partly impressionistic tonal language. First-ever Urtext edition, edited by Christian Grøvlen, based on the original manuscript and the first edition of 1898, which was out of print for many years.
