This music was inspired by the fantasy story of the same name written by Edward Plunkett (the eighteenth Baron Dunsany). The story revolves around the kingdom of Erl and its people who ask the King to bring magic into their land. The King bids his son to journey to Elfland and bring back the daughter of the King of the Elves.
