Soft (M1)
This mallet is the softest in the series. Its a meaty sounding bass mallet and is best suited to the bottom 3 octaves of a 5-octave instrument. Although it is very soft, there is still an identifiable attack, giving it clarity without sacrificing fundamental. The rattan is between 8.5 and 8.75mm in diameter (approximately 11/32).

Marimba Mallets
Dragonfly marimba sticks produce a full-bodied sound with lots of fundamental but are articulate without being overtly bright. The rubber cores covered in a thin layer of cloth split the difference between conventional yarn- wrapped sticks and traditional latex-rubber mallets. They are especially well-suited to orchestral, ensemble and studio playing but also work well for solo repertoire. All sticks are 16 in length, available on birch or rattan handles, and sold in pairs (except the graduated set).
