Hard (M5)
This stick is very clear and articulate without sounding brittle or harsh. Sounds best in the top 4 octaves but can play through the range of a 5-octave instrument without cracking bars. Excellent for solo playing, as a hard orchestral marimba stick or as a medium vibe mallet. Pairs well as a treble mallet with both M3 and M4. The rattan is between 8.5 and 8.75mm in diameter (approximately 11/32).

Marimba Mallets
Dragonfly marimba sticks produce a full-bodied sound with lots of fundamental but are articulate without being overtly bright. The rubber cores covered in a thin layer of cloth split the difference between conventional yarn- wrapped sticks and traditional latex-rubber mallets. They are especially well-suited to orchestral, ensemble and studio playing but also work well for solo repertoire. All sticks are 16 in length, available on birch or rattan handles, and sold in pairs (except the graduated set).
