SONGS OF NATURE for ensemble (traverso, bassoon, theorbo or archlute, violin, viola and contrabass or violin) was commissioned by BRock Orchestra and Muziektheater Transparant in 2019
Composed for the music theatre production SONGS OF NATURE in combination with Ha¨ndels Neun Deutsche Arien
First performance on the 13 of March 2021 at the Klara Festival (The Virtual Experience) by soprano Ilse Eerens, BRock Orchestra and director Shuang Zou
The work contains 4 movements:
- Sweet Silence
- Into the Darkness (De Profundis)
- Into the Light and Joy
- Enchanting Emptiness
