Suite - Childrens' Games (Jeux d'Enfants), Bizet/arr. Howard Snell, Ten Piece Brass Ensemble

These are delicious pieces, images of old-fashioned childhood, written in 1871 originally for piano duet. Bizet died of a heart attack at the age of 36, the composer of the immortal opera Carmen which was deemed a failure after its first performances. The music of this Suite is of the same calibre as Carmen.
