Performance Suggestions

This arrangement of The Holy City is perfectly playable in normal band formation although it has been spcifically orchestrated to include choreography through use of several little groups and ensembles.

Ensemble 1 sets up Stage Right and Ensemble 2 Stage Left with the soloists in the middle of each group facint out and the rest of the ensemble circling. When required the Soldiers line up in the centre of the band, 3 each side and counter march to the opposite side and return. The lead euphonium should stand at the front alone. The Angels should make their way as far as possible off-stage. All should triumphantly return to standing positions around the kit with Fanfares at the centre, preferably raised
