TOIL & TROUBLE A PROGRAM NOTE:
Toil & Trouble is a reconstruction of various dramatic and poetic texts from Shakespeares production. Fragments from Macbeth, As you Like It, King Lear, Julius Caesar, Hamlet, The Tempest and Sonnet 60 are all reconstructed, thus creating both a new context and a totally new text.

The witches spell from Macbeth is creating the overall form keeping all the other Shakespearian text fragments together. All these fragments deal with the vulnerability and struggle of life and the inevitable death which meets us all at the end.

The reconstruction of the texts are done in collaboration with the Norwegian dramaturg Bibbi Moslet.
