The NYC-1 New York City model is the latest within the IP Innovation Series. This stick is between a 7A and 5A, but features a unique reverse teardrop bead, which creates a bright, articulate, and very present cymbal sound.

Tidligere Marcus Gilmore Signatur Modell

The stick was designed to the specifications of Chick Corea Drummer Marcus Gilmore. Constructed of White Hickory, Marcus's signature model features a reversed Teardrop Bead with a thinner Diameter. All these feature combined to create a small stick, that plays fast with a large cymbal sound. 

MG is coming off of major highlights in his career. In 2012, DownBeat magazine named him its top Rising Star Drummer in its long-running Critics Poll. Pianist Vijay Iyer's Grammy Nominated trio, of which Gilmore has been a core member since he was 16, also took the Jazz Album and Jazz Group of the Year categories. The primary focus of 2013 was spent touring with Chick Corea's (whom Marcus first toured with when he was 19) The Vigil and Return to Forever Trio with Stanley Clarke. The most recent album "The Vigil" was released and a new live album is in the works. Over the last decade, he's worked with an esteemed roll call of performers including Robert Glasper, Steve Coleman, Cassandra Wilson, Nicholas Payton, Kenny Garrett, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Wynton Marsalis, Dr. John, Flying Lotus, Talib Kweli, Raul Midon, Taylor Mcferrin, Terence Blanchard and Mark Turner. Marcus is currently in the studio working on a solo project.
