New for 2020, Innovative Percussion is excited to be adding the Matt Billingslea MATT-1 signature model. As the drummer for Grammy Award winning international superstar Taylor Swift, Matt Billingslea is currently performing in sold-out stadiums and arenas around the world. His signature model features a 5AB size diameter and has an extended length of 16 ½. The MATT-1 has a gradual taper which provides great response and balance to the stick, and the teardrop bead is designed to cover the multitude of different styles Matt has to perform on any given night. We are excited to add the MATT-1 to our ever expanding collection of drumset products.

Taylor Swift
As the drummer for Grammy winning international superstar Taylor Swift, Matt Billingslea is currently traveling on The 1989 Tour, performing for sold-out crowds as Swift headlines stadiums and arenas around the world. In addition to the tour, Matts performances with Swift have included the Grammy Awards, the Billboard Music Awards, the BRIT Awards, and numerous promotional appearances around the globe.

Prior to joining Swift, Matt spent three years touring with multi-Grammy winners Lady Antebellum, and during that time co-wrote Wanted You More, a top-20 single from Lady As third album, Own The Night. Matt also toured with multi-platinum country star Gary Allan, headlining the Country Throwdown Tour and playing shows preparing for the release of his tenth album, Set You Free.

A Nashville resident since 2005, Matt is a native of Westminster, Maryland. He started playing drums at age ten, and played in local and regional bands through high school. He holds a Bachelor of Music from Capital University, with a double major in Jazz Studies and Music Industry.
