PASCAL SCHUMACHER: dont mention it twice is a challenging work for marimbist and multipercussionist. A maestoso, quasi chorale introduction leads into a busy allegro conversation between marimba and 4 timpani. A section featuring a non pitched multipercussion setup follows, then a more lyrical section with vibraphone and marimba. After a short vibraphone cadenza, the piece concludes with a brief recap of the original chorale material.
